Admission Policy

Institute of Credit does not discriminate against any applicant because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability.


Institute of Credit Eligibility

  1. Contact the Office of the Registrar and request a IOC catalog with a registration form.
  2. If you have attended any other schools/colleges, contact each one and have an official transcript of your work sent to the Office of the Registrar at the National Institute of Credit in Columbia, MD.
  3. If you have not attended a previous college, contact the high school you attended and request a transcript of your work be sent to the Office of the Registrar. If you have acquired a General Education Development (GED) certificate, supply verification. (A high school transcript or GED certificate is required before enrollment and must be approved by the Registrar’s Office.)

The Registrar reviews all applications and notifies the applicant in writing of enrollment in a course.

Transfer Credit
The Institute of Credit will allow transfer of credit for subjects taken at other institutions after evaluation and approval from the National Institute of Credit’s Registrar Office. Credits are transferable only at the discretion of the receiving institution.

Academic Guidelines
Upon acceptance to this school, it is the responsibility of the individual student to become informed of all academic information necessary to follow the prescribed programs.

Registration takes place during official periods designated by the school registrar. All information about registration for each semester is contained in the school catalog or on the registration form. There will be a $25.00 fee assessed for any returned credit card charges or for a check returned for Non Sufficient Funds (NSF) or stop payment checks. Tuition, fees, books, etc. may be paid by Visa, Master Card, personal check, cashier’s check, money order or cash.

Auditing a Class
Space permitting, and with the instructor’s permission, individuals may enroll as auditors for a fee of $200.00. The fee must be paid at the time of enrollment and is nonrefundable. An Audit Form, different from the regular registration form, may be obtained from the Registrar’s Office. Those auditing a course are subject to the conditions of enrollment established by the instructor, but do not take class examinations. No credit is earned for audited courses, but enrollment will be listed on the transcript.
