Jerry Bailey  |  NCS

Curtis Litchfield, CCE  |  Land O’Lakes

Jerry Bailey is currently the Executive Sales and Education Services Manager for NCS and has been with the company since 1995. Prior to coming to NCS, Jerry was a Corporate Credit Manager in the manufacturing industry for 10 years, during which time he gained a very thorough hands on experience with both UCC filings and Mechanic’s Lien filings.Jerry consults with companies daily and has spoken to groups nationwide about Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, Revised Article 9, the nuances of Construction Credit, and the benefits of selling through secured transactions. His presentations cover not only the legal protections brought about by the mechanic’s lien and UCC filing processes, but also practical solutions of how and when to use these tools. For the majority of his 30 year career with Purina Mills and Land O’Lakes, Litchfield has held various roles in Customer Financial Services. Within Customer Financial Services, his roles have involved managing a centralized and decentralized credit department where his team handles all functions of the credit department from approving new customers, collecting past due balances and working closely with business partners, sales and marketing. In addition to managing credit, Litchfield also manages the cash application team and invoicing and document delivery process. Prior to joining Customer Financial Services, he spent 10 years in sales and business development where he prepared and presented financial and business analyses and assisted customers in developing business strategies. Litchfield attended the NACM Graduate School of Credit and Financial management where he obtained his CCE designation. For the last 10 years, he has been an instructor for NACM Connect and he now sits on the NACM Connect Board of Directors. Litchfield received the Credit Excellence Award in 2017.

Lillian Novak, CGA  |  NACM Connect

With 33 years of ARM experience, most of which has been on the executive level, Joe is well familiar with the executive management requirements of a successful enterprise, which includes strategic planning, business process design, re-engineering & automation, performance management, accounts receivable outsourcing, talent assessment, sales team development and more. As Caine & Weiner’s Chief Commercial Officer Joe oversees the company’s Strategic Sales & Marketing initiatives, Client Service Department, as well as being a contributor to Operations oversight. Prior to his appointment to his present position, he was with two leading ARM enterprises as CEO and Director of Operations, Commercial Services, respectively. Lillian Novak is the Vice President of Education and Member Services for NACM Connect, having joined the Association in 1999. Since joining NACM Connect, Novak has served as an Account Executive, Manager of Member Services and Marketing and Director of Education prior to being promoted to her current position. She also has Group Administrator responsibility for NACM Connect’s two largest trade groups and holds her Certified Group Administrator designation from the National Association of Credit Management in Baltimore, MD.

Dominic Biegel  |  Bectran

Dominic Biegel is a graduate from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in Economics. Dominic joined Bectran in 2014 as an account Executive. He is now the Senior Manager, Sales Process Lead for Bectran. During the last 7 years, Dominic has worked with many Fortune 500 companies in implementing Bectran’s automated solutions for the Order-to-Cash process. He is responsible for direct customer relations and establishing Bectran’s global presence. Ken’s diverse career in the collection industry spans more than 30 years including experience as a collector, credit manager and sales representative. His vast knowledge of the collection industry enables him to identify his clients’ needs and to provide clients with excellent service in all areas of the collection process. Ken, a native Texan, is married with three sons.

Staci Cima is the Corporate Credit Manager for Hutting Building Products. Staci has more than twenty years experience in various accounting management and credit roles including public accounting, manufacturing and construction industries. She has been involved in several projects involving using software to improve productivity. Staci has been involved with the NACM for the last 11 years serving on local and Connect committees and board of directors. Staci is a graduate of The University of Missouri Central with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Christopher brings over 20 years of financial operations experience to the Finance Solutions team at Dun & Bradstreet. He has experience across various industries including manufacturing, services, and security with a focus on organizational development and resourcing; strategic planning and technology management to build a global shared services model for finance operations.

Dale Semple  |  The Equity

Thomas Fawkes is with the law firm of Tucker Ellis LLP in its Chicago office. Tom focuses his practice on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and financial restructuring matters, representing official committees, unsecured and secured creditors, debtors, financial institutions, post-confirmation trustees and asset purchasers in chapter 11 and 7 bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, and liquidation proceedings throughout the United States. Tom also assists his clients in structuring commercial transactions with a view towards mitigating risk of future bankruptcy and insolvency losses. Since 2015, Tom has been recognized by Chambers and Partners as one of the leading bankruptcy and restructuring attorneys in the state of Illinois. Semple is the Director of Credit at The Equity, an agricultural cooperative, where he began in 1990. Prior to his current position he served as a loan officer at the Farm Credit Services of Mid America and Farmer’s State Bank. Dale is also active in several agricultural industry credit group including the National Agricultural Chemical Group. He received a BS in Agriculture Economics from the University of Illinois in 1981. Semple is a current member of the Board of Directors of NACM/Chicago-Midwest.

Elaine Fry, CCE

Rich Steinkoenig, CGA  |  NACM Connect

Elaine Fry, CCE, is a retired credit professional that held positions in credit for over 35 years and in management for 30 years. She was the second woman in the Greater St. Louis area to achieve the CCE designation in 1991. In her last position she was the Corporate Credit Manager for Wiese USA. Elaine has authored several articles published in NACM’s Business Credit Magazine. She has also been an instructor for several classes hosted by NACM. She has been a frequent presenter at various professional functions including the National Credit Congress. Ms. Fry has served as President and on the Board of Directors for Credit Financial Development Division. Over the years, she has served on many NACM committees including the Advisory Board for NACM Gateway. Rich Steinkoenig is a Credit Solutions Consultant at NACM Connect starting in January 2018. His territory includes Missouri, Kansas, Central and Southern Illinois, Michigan, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Prior to the NACM, Rich was a risk specialist at the national account level at Dun & Bradstreet for four years. From 1999 to 2012 he was the Global Accounts Receivable Manager at Maui Jim Sunglasses. From 1992 to 1999 Rich worked at Dun & Bradstreet as a senior business analyst. Rich is a graduate of Western Illinois University.

Brent Heizelman

Tiffany Sudduth, CBA  |  American Metals Supply

Brent has managed the credit department of Mid Kansas Cooperative for 14 years, a large grain cooperative headquartered in the large metropolis of Moundridge Kansas (google it).Prior to his employment with Mid Kansas Coop Brent was in the banking industry involved in consumer, commercial, real estate and ag lending. He then went on to an Assistant Credit Manager position with Great Plains Manufacturing before moving into his current position as Credit Manager with MKC. Brent is currently the Chair of the NACM Gateway Advisory Board after serving several terms on that Board. He is also a former member of the governing board of NACM/Chicago-Midwest and served several terms on the Gateway Education Committee. It’s a no brainer to give time to an organization that has given so much to me in the way of education and networking opportunities and great friendships over the years. Tiffany Sudduth started with American Metals Supply in March of 2008 as an inside sales representative. Four years later, she started helping the credit department, mainly by processing any new credit applications that came in. Once she started taking on more responsibilities within the credit department she knew this was something she wanted as a career. She is now responsible for all Missouri, Illinois & Kansas accounts. Tiffany serves on the Gateway Advisory Board and the Education committee.

Mike Hill, CCE  |  MiTek USA, Inc.

Derrick Swaney  |  MiTek USA, Inc.

Mike is the Director of Credit for MiTek (a Berkshire Hathaway company). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He earned his CCE after attending the NACM-Graduate School of Credit & Financial Management at Dartmouth College. Mike has served on the NACM-St. Louis Advisory Board since 2010, including as Chairperson in 2014. He has served on the NACM-Connect Board of Directors since 2016 and is currently serving as Chairperson. Mike served on the NACM-National Home Centers & Building Materials Credit Group Board of Directors from 2015 – 2019, including as Chairperson in 2018. He has served on various NACM-St. Louis and NACM-Connect committees over the years as well. Mike was awarded the NACM-St. Louis Member of the Year in 2014. He was awarded the NACM-Connect Robert M. Healy Credit Executive of the Year in 2021. Derrick Swaney is a credit specialist at MiTek USA, Inc. Derrick joined MiTek in 2018 and has been a member of NACM Connect for three years. During his time at MiTek, Derrick has been working to integrate recently acquired software companies and their receivables. Prior to joining MiTek, Derrick graduated from Maryville University. While at Maryville University, he competed on the Division II wrestling team and studied finance and philosophy. At MiTek, Derrick has reported to Mike Hill and Dave Beckel, who are both longstanding NACM Connect members. Derrick is also part of the NACM Connect Elite Membership Group.

Brian Jackiw is with the law firm of Tucker Ellis LLP in its Chicago office. Brian is experienced in bankruptcy and commercial litigation, having represented plaintiffs and defendants in avoidance actions, complex bankruptcy claim disputes, breach of fiduciary duty actions and bankruptcy fraud litigation. Beyond litigation in the bankruptcy courts, Brian has experience in general collection and commercial law litigation. Brian has also spent significant time advocating on behalf of general unsecured creditors through his representation of official committees of unsecured creditors. Before becoming an attorney, Brian served as an Officer in the U.S. Army. . Williams is the Vice President, NACM Relations. A familiar face within the NACM for the past 23 years, Michael has partnered with NACM members of all sizes to introduce creative solutions for third party payment processing efficiencies and system integrations. Michael is a conference speaker, round table expert, and NACM certification curriculum and Credit Magazine contributor and is always enthusiastic in sharing his knowledge with the NACM membership!

Phillip J. Lattanzio, CCE  |  NACM Connect

Troy Wangen  |  True Partners Consulting 

Phil Lattanzio, CCE, is the President and Chief Operating Officer of NACM/Chicago-Midwest and its operating affiliates in ten states. He has been with the National Association of Credit Management since 1999 and has been in the position of President since 2003. Under his direction, NACM/Chicago-Midwest has grown to the largest of the NACM affiliates. In his first few years with the Association, Lattanzio was able to return it to profitability; and, he continues to grow revenues and contain costs. Prior to this position, Lattanzio was the Corporate Credit Manager at Knaack Manufacturing Company in Crystal Lake, IL, where for seven years he was accountable for the credit and accounts receivable functions. Prior to Knaack, he worked in the credit departments for Scotsman Industries, Inc. and Union Oil Company of California. Lattanzio is a graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He currently serves as a Director on the NACM National Board of Directors and the Executive Vice President of the Commercial Law League of America. Troy Wangen is a Managing Director in the Unclaimed Property Practice in True Partners Consulting’s Chicago office. He has extensive experience in unclaimed property consulting, specializing in the development of strategic defense for unclaimed property audits and voluntary disclosures, and the analysis, quantification, and mitigation of potential unclaimed property exposure. Before joining True Partners Consulting LLC in January 2011, Troy began his unclaimed property career with the practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP. In Q1 of 2009, Deloitte sold its practice to Thomson Reuters. Troy has served in numerous positions on the Board of Directors for the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (“UPPO”), including as President for the 2019/2020 fiscal year. Troy currently serves as a Non-Credit Board Member for Forius Business Credit Resources, Inc. Troy has spoken for holder education seminars sponsored by UPPO, Lorman, the National Association of Credit Management, the American Payroll Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and other professional groups, while he also is the co-author of the article “The Massachusetts Abandoned Property Law: What CPAs need to know,” SumNews, Winter 2008. Troy has presented on various topics at multiple UPPO Annual Conferences since 2015 and has also moderated multiple panels of state unclaimed property administrators, as well as facilitating industry breakout sessions.

Rochelle Wilson, CGA  |  NACM Connect

Rochelle Wilson started with NACM in August of 2011 as a membership consultant. Shortly after she took on the local industry credit groups and obtained her CGA. In 2014, Rochelle was promoted to Regional Manager for the Gateway Region where she is responsible for all aspects of the St. Louis area.
